It was truly our greatest honor and privilege to care for Mr. Douglas, who chose to stay at Pattaya Nursing Home.

On December 2, 2025, Mr. Douglas decided to let us bring him from Sisaket by ambulance. The journey took approximately 8 hours.

When he arrived at the nursing home, we discussed his care plan, including weight reduction, physical therapy, and helping him walk again. He worked very hard and successfully achieved many of these goals.

The day our hope began to fade was when we took him to the hospital because he was experiencing shortness of breath, and the examination results revealed metastatic cancer.

We were all deeply saddened. However, I always told Douglas not to worry, because we would stay by his side at all times and he would never feel alone.

​

One of Douglas’s wishes was not to suffer from pain. We did everything we could to support him and keep him comfortable, and in the end, he passed away peacefully.

All of us cared for Douglas to the very best of our abilities, and he will always remain in our hearts and memories.
